Ingredient Notes and Substitutions

- Pretzels: I prefer to use mini pretzels, but any kind you have on hand will work. The only kind you can't use are soft pretzels.
- White chocolate: You'll want to use a good quality white chocolate. I like using Ghirardelli's white chocolate. You can also use the white chocolate melting wafers
- Sprinkles: Any kind will work as long as they're small. No one likes big, hard chunks of sprinkles, so I like using rainbow or nonpareils.
Kitchen Tools Needed
- Double boiler (I makeshift one with a small pot and a heat-proof bowl)
- Parchment paper
How To Make White Chocolate Covered Pretzels
- Break white chocolate into small pieces and place into a double boiler
- Turn the heat to low and gently stir the white chocolate pieces until smooth and melted
- Once they're all melted, dip the pretzels in and let the excess chocolate drip off
- Place dipped and coated pretzels onto parchment paper and immediately add sprinkles
- Allow the white chocolate to harden completely, then enjoy!

Expert Baking Tips
- Melt the chocolate in a double boiler for best results
- Add a little bit of coconut oil to thin out the white chocolate, if needed
- Use your fingers if you're dipping half of the pretzel or a fork if you want the whole thing covered
- Let excess chocolate drip off into the bowl before laying the pretzels down on parchment
- Add sprinkles immediately after dipping so the chocolate isn't too hard
- Let the chocolate cool completely at room temperature before enjoying
- Don't store leftovers in the fridge because they will go stale faster
Tips For Melting White Chocolate
Over the years I've melted A LOT of chocolate. In the beginning I used to fail miserably and end up with hard, chunky, unusable chocolate. After experimenting with different methods, I'd now like to say I'm an expert, so here are my top three tips!
- Low and slow. Keep the heat low so your chocolate doesn't melt too fast and burn
- Stir consistently. You don't need to stir all the time, but you want to keep chocolate moving so it melts evenly
- Use a double boiler. You get a much more even distribution of heat with a double boiler.

Frequently Asked Questions
No, yogurt pretzels and white chocolate covered pretzels are 2 different things. Yogurt pretzels are made up of a mixture of yogurt and powdered sugar, while the others are pure white chocolate.
If you store them properly in an airtight container with a lid they will stay good for up to 2 weeks.
I prefer to use mini pretzel twists, but any kind (except soft pretzels) will work. You can use pretzel sticks or pretzel rods, or even use your favorite gluten free variety.
It depends on the temperature in your house, but it usually takes mine about 30 minutes to harden fully.
Storing Suggestions
I recommend keeping your chocolate covered pretzels in an airtight container at room temperature. As long as they're store properly they will last up to 2 weeks.
I do not suggest storing them in the fridge or freezer because it may cause them to go stale quicker.
Recipe Variation and Topping Ideas
I usually prefer to enjoy these white chocolate pretzels straight forward with a few sprinkles, but there's so many other ways you can customize them! Here's a few ideas:
- Use caramelized white chocolate
- Drizzle over dark chocolate
- Do half the pretzel in white chocolate and half in dark
Here's a few more topping ideas:
- Crushed graham crackers
- Flakey salt
- Heath bits
- Shredded coconut
- Mini M&Ms
