WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS HEALTHY TROPICAL SMOOTHIE

- Quick, healthy breakfast option
- Great way to get lots vitamins and nutrients in your diet
- Only 4 ingredients
- Full of fresh, tropical flavor
WHAT YOU NEED FOR A PINEAPPLE MANGO SMOOTHIE
- Frozen mango chunks: Since mangoes are harder to cut, I recommend buying them already cut and frozen.
- Frozen pineapple chunks: You can buy pre-cut frozen pineapple or do what I do and cut fresh pineapple and freeze it
- Protein powder: My recommendation is Ancient Nutrition Collagen peptides. Use unflavored protein if you can so it doesn't dull the tropical flavor
- Almond milk: I like to use an unsweetened vanilla almond milk, but any kind will work. You can also substitute this with any non-dairy milk
HOW TO MAKE A CREAMY PROTEIN PINEAPPLE MANGO SMOOTHIE
- To a high-speed blender add frozen mangos, frozen pineapple, protein powder, and almond milk
- Blend on high speed until thick, smooth, and creamy
- Pour into a glass, top with fresh mango and granola, and enjoy
SMOOTHIE ADD-INS
Extra additions are the perfect way to sneak some more nutrition into this (already) healthy smoothie
- Ground flax seeds: Flax seeds are a good source of protein and fiber
- Chia seeds: Chia seeds are highly nutritious little seeds, they're also a large source of fiber
- Hemp seeds: These are a good way to add in extra protein, carbs, and healthy fats
- Plain yogurt: It won't be Paleo or dairy free, but a creamy, tropical Greek yogurt smoothie is a great way to add even more protein
- Spinach: Spinach is a wonderful source of vitamin C, vitamin A, and iron
- Nut butters: Almond butter, cashew butter, and macadamia nut butter will all add protein and fat without taking away from the sweet flavor
EXPERT TIPS
- If you only have fresh fruit, thicken the smoothie with a frozen banana or cauliflower rice. Regular ice won't make it thick and creamy
- You could substitute the almond milk with orange juice for even more tropical flavor
- Any non-dairy milk will work- oat milk, light coconut milk, or soy milk for more protein
- If you can't find frozen pineapple and frozen mango at the store, a frozen tropical fruit blend will work
- Use frozen fruit for the creamiest smoothie
