This creamy Dragon Fruit Smoothie is bright, beautiful, and full of tropical flavor. It's simple, dairy free, and can be made vegan by swapping out the honey. This pretty pitaya smoothie is chocked full of nutrients and antioxidants, which is great for breakfast or a snack.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups frozen dragon fruit chunks
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1/4 cup fresh-squeezed orange juice
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk

Instructions

  1. Add frozen dragon fruit, frozen bananas, orange juice, honey (if using), and almond milk to the base of a high speed blender
  2. Blend on high until your smoothie is thick and creamy
  3. Pour into glasses and enjoy immediately for best results

Notes

  • Use frozen banana and pitaya chunks, your smoothie will be so much creamier
  • Buy your fruit on sale and freeze it yourself to save money
  • Adjust the amount of honey depending on how sweet your fruit is
  • Substitute the almond milk with any non-dairy milk you have in your fridge
  • Best served fresh, I suggest enjoying immediately for best results
  • This recipe makes 4 snack sized smoothies or 2 meal sized smoothies
