These air fryer buffalo chicken tenders are incredible! In under 20 minutes you can have gluten free, crunchy, spicy chicken tenders that make a great dinner, lunch, or after school snack.
Pat your chicken tenderloins dry with a paper towel and place them onto a plate.
In a shallow bowl whisk together egg whites and 1/4 cup buffalo sauce. Then, in another shallow bowl, whisk together the gluten free panko crumbs, salt, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, and cayenne pepper
Preheat your air fryer to 360 degrees F while you start the breading process
To bread, take one of the dry tenderloins and dip it into the egg mixture, then put it into the bowl of seasoned breadcrumbs and use your hand to coat it completely
Transfer the breaded chicken tender to a parchment lined baking sheet, and repeat step 5 with the remaining tenderloins
Once they're all breaded and the air fryer is preheated, spray air fryer basket with olive oil spray, lay the breaded tenders down in a single layer, and liberally spray the top of the chicken with more cooking spray
Cook at 360 degrees F for 8 minutes, using tongs to flip halfway through
Once cooked, use the tongs to place the crispy chicken onto a wire rack and cook any extra chicken that didn't fit
When they're all cooked, heat the remaining 3/4 cup of buffalo sauce in a small sauce pan over medium heat, and carefully coat each tender in the sauce
Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
Make sure the chicken is in equal sizes so it cooks evenly
Dry the chicken with paper towels first so the breading gets super crisp
Use boneless skinless chicken breast instead of tenderloins
Do the egg wash with one hand and the breading with the other
Spray each piece liberally with cooking spray so you air fryer chicken tenders come out crisp and golden brown
After dipping in buffalo sauce, serve immediately
If you want the tenders to stay super crisp, don't coat them in the sauce and instead, serve it on the side
Let each piece of chicken cool completely before placing into a container or else the condensation will make the breading soggy
