What You Need To Cook Turkey Bacon In The Oven
*full ingredients list and measurements found in recipe card below*

- Turkey bacon: I prefer to buy uncured turkey bacon because it doesn't contain nitrates. The brands I like are Applegate Farms and Dietz and Watson
- Avocado oil spray: The spray is only needed to prevent the bacon from sticking to the wire rack. I like avocado because it's a neutral oil, but olive oil spray also works
Equipment:
- Baking sheet
- Wire rack
- Parchment paper
How To Bake Turkey Bacon In The Oven
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper and set a wire rack on top of it
- Spray the wire rack with avocado oil spray, then lay the pieces of turkey bacon on the rack, leaving space between them
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, then carefully take the baking sheet out of the oven, serve, and enjoy

What If I Don't Own A Wire Rack?
If you don't own a wire rack you can bake the turkey bacon directly on a parchment lined baking sheet. Since the wire rack allows air to circulate around the entire rasher, I recommend flipping each piece halfway through the baking process if you're not using a rack.
Expert Tips
- Line your baking sheet with parchment paper for easy clean up
- Buy an uncured brand of turkey bacon so it doesn't contain nitrates
- Spray the wire rack with avocado oil spray to prevent sticking
- Bake until the texture is right for you. I personally prefer soft bacon to crisp
- This is a great, healthy protein to meal prep for breakfasts throughout the week
- You can use oven-baked turkey bacon in breakfast sandwiches, with eggs, or even in salads

Storing and Reheating Instructions
STORING: You can store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
REHEATING: To reheat, I suggest cooking in oven low heat in a pan with a lid. It takes about 4-5 minutes to get warmed through. I DO NOT recommend the microwave because I've found it to become rather chewy and tough to eat.
Recipes That Use Oven-Baked Turkey Bacon
You can use the oven baked turkey bacon as a healthy side to eggs, pancakes, French toast, and more. It's also great on sandwiches and quesadillas, crumbled over deviled eggs, or even chopped up in a salad.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, it is healthy! I eat turkey bacon almost every day because it's a great source of protein and, if you buy a brand that is uncured, it doesn't contain nitrates and preservatives like a lot of other bacon brands.
I bake mine at 375 degrees F and it takes about 15-18 minutes. The timing all depends on how you like it though, if you prefer crispier bacon you should bake it for about 20 minutes.
I've found that 375 degrees F is a good temperature to bake it at because it cooks each piece all of the way through in less than 20 minutes without drying it out.
If you decide to bake at 400 degrees F you'll only need to cook it for 13-15 minutes.
At 350F, turkey bacon should be baked for 18-20 minutes for soft and 22-24 minutes for crisp.
According to it package, the pieces should reach 165 degrees F. Personally, I can't figure out a way to stick a meat thermometer in there, so I go off of color.
Once turkey bacon reaches a rich brown color and there's no traces of pink, it's done cooking.
