This creamy oat milk hot chocolate is the best! It's dairy free, gluten free, vegan, and prepared in just 5 minutes. There's only 5 simple ingredients standing between you and this cozy cup of dairy free cocoa.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup oat milk
  • 1/2 ounce vegan dark chocolate- chopped
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. To a small saucepan, add the oat milk, chopped vegan chocolate, cocoa powder, maple syrup, and vanilla
  2. Place the saucepan onto your stove and turn the burner to medium/low heat, whisk occasionally to ensure the bottom doesn't scald
  3. Once the chocolate bar is melted and fully combined with the oat milk, turn the burner off and take the saucepan off the heat
  4. Pour the hot chocolate into your favorite mug, top with marshmallows, and serve

Notes

  • Oat milk can be substituted for any non-dairy milk
  • Use 1 1/2 tablespoons of vegan chocolate chips in place of the chocolate bar
  • Sugar can be substituted for maple syrup
  • Double or triple the recipe for multiple people
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days
