This gluten free elote spice mix is an easy way to pack a punch with any dish. It's quick, easy, and only needs a handful of ingredients. You can use this delicious homemade elote seasoning on veggies to fish and everything in between.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons monk fruit
  • 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • 3 teaspoons chili powder
  • 3 teaspoons dried cilantro
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a mortar and pestle or food processor
  2. Grind until you reach a fine powder consistency
  3. Use immediately or store in an air tight container

Notes

  • Make sure your spices are not expired for best flavor
  • Check that your paprika is gluten free
  • Grind in a mortar and pestle or food processor to break down the nutritional yeast
  • Store in a cool, dry place
  • Replace the nutritional yeast with parmesan cheese (NOT vegan)
  • *If using parmesan cheese, this will only stay good for 2-3 days. I recommend leaving it out, and adding 1/2 teaspoon of parmesan for every 2 teaspoons of elote seasoning as you use it in a recipe
