I'm just going to say it, I love broccoli. Besides cucumbers, broccoli is probably one of my favorite vegetables. Whether it's raw, roasted, or air fried, I love it all. However, I do not like mushy broccoli (who really does?), which is why I LOVE this amazing, crispy air fryer frozen broccoli.

This recipe is quick, easy, and absolutely delicious. Frozen broccoli can sometimes get mushy, soggy, and just generally unappetizing when roasted in the oven, but I solved all those problems in this one recipe. Super crispy florets, 10 minutes of cooking, AND an incredible, creamy, dairy free lemon garlic tahini sauce. Wow oh wow- veggies never looked better.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS EASY, HEALTHY BROCCOLI RECIPE

  • Super easy, cooks in 10 minutes
  • Only 4 main ingredients
  • Dairy free, gluten free, and vegan
  • Frozen broccoli gets perfectly crispy in the air fryer
  • Delicious lemon garlic tahini sauce (that's super versatile too!)
  • Amazing side dish for any dinner

WHAT YOU NEED FOR AIR FRYER ROASTED FROZEN BROCCOLI

air fryer frozen broccoli ingredients on a white backdrop labeled with black text.
  • Frozen Broccoli: I like using organic frozen broccoli florets because they're the best size, and crisp up the best
  • Tahini: My favorite tahini is Mighty Sesame. It's organic, sesame seeds are the only ingredient, plus it comes in a fun squeeze bottle!
  • Lemon Juice: I prefer using fresh lemon juice, but bottled will work
  • Garlic Powder, salt and black pepper: Both the sauce and broccoli are seasoned for the best flavor

EXPERT TIPS

  • Read the entire recipe first
  • Don't thaw the broccoli
  • You can easily scale this up to make more for a big family, or scale down for one or two people
  • Don't overcrowd the air fryer basket, the broccoli won't get as crispy
  • Be sure to shake halfway through the cooking time
  • Serve the sauce on the side and let people add as much as they want
  • When storing leftovers, keep the sauce and broccoli separate for easy reheating

FAQs

  1. How do I store leftovers? Keep any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Keep the sauce in a separate container for best results.
  2. What's the best way to reheat cooked broccoli? I reheat it in the air fryer at 350 f for 3-4 minutes. Just watch it, you don't want the broccoli to burn.
  3. Do I need to use oil? I haven't tested it, but I would guess that you don't need it. It is such a little amount though, that I would recommend to use it.
  4. What else can I use the lemon garlic tahini sauce on? You can use the sauce on just about any roasted vegetable, like broccoli and cauliflower, carrots, potatoes, it's even good on wraps and sandwiches!
