Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 8 sausage links (fully cooked)
  • 8 slices of cooked bacon
  • 4 ounces of prosciutto
  • 4 ounces of salami
  • 6-8 waffles or pancakes
  • 4-6 slices of sourdough bread
  • 4 mini muffins
  • 1 cup berries (a mix of strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries)
  • 1 orange cut into segments
  • 1/2 pound of grapes
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup jam
  • 6 ounces of cheese (a variety is preferable)
  • 4 hard or soft boiled eggs
  • Any extras you'd like

Instructions

  1. First, choose what you'd like to serve on your board
  2. Set the largest items such as waffles, pancakes, and slices of bread down on your board first
  3. Next, place on anything you're serving in small bowls and dishes (such as jams and spreads)
  4. Add the meats and cheeses next, beginning to build around the larger elements of the board
  5. Lastly, add in the fresh produce, toppings, and any extras to fill in and create that bountiful look

Notes

  • Choose the items you're serving before you start assembling
  • Think about how many guests you're serving to decide how much food you'll need
  • Make your pancakes and waffles a similar size for more visual appeal
  • Lay the larger items down first, then build around them to make it easier to fit everything on
  • Use fruits and veggies to add pops of color
  • Assemble your breakfast board right before it's time to serve
