If you can't tell from my buffalo chicken quesadilla, buffalo chicken salad, and various other spicy recipes- I. LOVE. SPICE. My brother is 10 years older than me, and so when he would cook, it would always include spice. Meaning, my little childhood self had to adjust to spice at a very young age, and since that's the case, I am now very desensitized to most spicy foods. HOWEVER, this mango habanero salsa did catch me a little off guard with the amount of bold, delicious, spicy flavor it contains. But don't let that scare you off, it's so crazy addicting, I was eating it with a fork.
This mango habanero salsa is simply the best. It's got sweet, fruity notes from the mango, a sharpness from the white onion, and of course a BOLD kick from the habanero. This quick and easy salsa recipe can be prepared in just 10 minutes, and only needs 4 main ingredients. Mango, onion, habanero, and lime juice; finish off with a few spices and you've got a one of a kind dish. It's great with chips, crackers, or even served over fish, tacos, burgers, chicken. However you use it, this salsa is sure to give your dish a boost of flavor.

WHAT YOU NEED FOR MANGO HABANERO SALSA

- Mango: I use fresh, ripe mangoes. I don't recommend using frozen, but if you do be sure it's thawed first
- Habaneros: I de-seed mine because these are very spicy without them. Also, DO NOT touch your face or eyes after you've handled the habaneros.
- Onion: This recipe uses a sweet, white onion, but diced red onion will also work.
- Lime Juice: Fresh lime juice has the best flavor, but bottled would work
- Seasonings: Salt, cumin, and chili powder tie this easy salsa together
