Air Fryer Sweet Potato Cubes

Air fryer sweet potato cubes are so easy and so delicious! This healthy recipe is made with pantry staple ingredients and takes less than 20 minutes from start to finish. Gluten free, dairy free, vegan, and paleo friendly! Makes a wonderful side dish, appetizer, or snack.

  • 1 pound sweet potatoes- peeled and cut int 1/2 inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder


  1. Peel your sweet potatoes and cut then into 1/2 inch cubes on a cutting board using a sharp knife
  2. Place all the cubed sweet potatoes into a large mixing bowl and pour over olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder. Mix well with a wooden spoon until the potatoes are evenly coated
  3. Dump the seasoned potatoes into your air fryer basket and cook at 400 degrees F for 12 minutes, shaking halfway through
  4. Once they’re fork tender, remove the sweet potatoes from the air fryer and let them cool for 5 minutes before serving alongside your favorite main course


  • Cut the sweet potato cubes into equal sizes
  • Adding the oil helps to crisp the outside and keep middles tender
  • Adjust seasoning to your taste
  • Air fry until they can easily be pierced with a fork
  • If making frozen, add a few minutes to the cook time
  • Cooking time will vary between air fryer brands
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days
  • Reheat in the air fryer at 400 F for 2-3 minutes
