Can I Use Frozen Carrots?

( I'd like to note that I much prefer the taste of fresh because sometimes the frozen carrots don't get as tender and end up more soggy)
Ingredient Notes and Substitutions

- Carrots: This air fryer recipe is made with baby carrots, but in a pinch you can cut regular size carrots down into sticks.
- Olive oil: The oil helps to crisp up the outside and tenderize the middles. If you don't have olive oil, avocado oil, melted butter, melted ghee, or melted coconut oil will all work.
- Maple syrup: The syrup adds a nice sweetness that plays nicely with the flavor of the carrots. You could also use honey if you're not vegan
- Spices: I like to keep the seasoning simple with just salt and a little pepper, but there's more seasoning listed down below in the post.
How To Make Air Fryer Baby Carrots
- Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F and spray the basket lightly with olive oil spray
- In a large mixing bowl combine the baby carrots, olive oil, maple syrup, salt, and pepper. Stir well to make sure everything is evenly coated
- Lay the carrots into the hot air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 10 minutes, shaking halfway through to ensure even cooking
- Check the tenderness of your air fryer baby carrots and cook for 2-4 more minutes if you like them softer
- Serve immediately and enjoy!

Air Fryer Carrot Seasoning Variations
While I usually prefer to keep my air fryer baby carrots simple with a little olive oil, maple syrup, salt and pepper, but there are so many other ways you can customize them to your taste! Here's a few ideas:
- Elote seasoning
- Dry ranch mix
- Chili lime
- Taco seasoning
- Sweet version: 2 tablespoons of melted butter, 1 tablespoon of maple syrup, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, and ¼ teaspoon of salt. (use these measurements instead of the ones listed in the recipe card with you want sweeter, glazed carrots)
Storing and Reheating Instructions
STORING: You can store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-5 days. I don't recommend freezing cooked carrots because they become soggy once thawed.
REHEATING: You can reheat these roasted carrots right in the air fryer. Lay them in a single layer and cook at 350F for 3-5 minutes, and serve immediately and enjoy.
