WHAT YOU NEED FOR AIR FRYER APPLES

- Apples: I suggest using a crisp apple like a Pink Lady for these because they hold their shape when cooking
- Butter: Salted butter is best for these fried apples to help balance the sweetness
- Maple syrup: Always use pure maple syrup to keep the recipe refined sugar free as well as give it the best flavor
- Cinnamon: The warm flavors that come from cinnamon really round out the whole flavor and make them taste like apple pie filling!
THE BEST KIND OF APPLES TO USE
Just like apple pie, the best kind of apples to use are ones that are crisp and firm and hold their shape while cooking without breaking down into mush. I prefer to use Pink Lady, Honey Crisp, Fuji, or Jonagolds.
Granny Smith apples are crunchy and will work, but personally think they're a little too tart for this recipe.

If you have to store leftover, keep them in an airtight container in the fridge and 2-3 days and microwave in a microwave safe bowl with a smidge more of maple syrup to reheat.
